"In life, it's not where you are, but who you are with that really matters"

This past weekend we had the most amazing time with our friends and family that came to visit! On Thursday,  our cousins Morgan and Jeremy, along with our friend Dan flew in. Morgan and I spent most of the day looking for a green outfit for St. Patrick's day, however, we had the most difficult time finding anything green! So, we decided to go with plan "e" and wear white shirts with green accessories (including green flip flops)! After our mad search around the city, we went Jonsey's for dinner, followed by Vine Street!

On Thursday, Keegan, Elizabeth, and Adam arrived! I worked on Thursday, but Kyle took the day off and spent some time outdoors and hung out with everyone. That evening, we celebrated St. Patrick's day by going to The Gin Mill (a Purdue bar).  They have the most delicious popcorn, which reminds Kyle and I of Harry's back home. For dinner, we went to H Burger, followed by our final destination, The Irish Snug!

On Friday, we all headed out to the Oskar Blues Brewery. As some of you may know, Jeremy and Kyle have a dream of opening a brewery. All the guys were so excited for this venture. The brewery, I have to admit, was super neat and very interesting. Afterwords, we went to Boulder for a quick snack and then over to Matt and Julie's for a cookout. We had a great time with everyone and I was so happy that our nieces, Phoebe and Sylvie had the chance to see everyone!

On Saturday, we headed out to Morrison, CO, where we went to Red Rocks for a quick stop. Red Rocks is an amazing amphitheater, surrounded by beautiful rock formations. After Red Rocks, we headed to Golden, CO for lunch and then some time on Lookout Mountain. Golden, Co is one of our favorite places in Colorado so we were pumped to go and show everyone.  We lucked out and had some beautiful weather, a bit windy, but overall one of the best days of the trip!

On Saturday night, we all had dinner at Mista and Landon's. Dinner turned into games, and games turned into a dance party! We all had so much fun and it was the perfect way to spend our final night together.

On Sunday, we ate breakfast at Mona's then sadly said our Goodbyes. Kyle and I both agree that this was one of our best weekends yet in Colorado.  We are so thankful for our friends and family and can't wait for the memories ahead :-)

“May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.”- Irish Blessing

This week was a very eventful week! On Wednesday, we celebrated Ash Wednesday..notice the ashes on our heads;-). But really, our celebration on  was for more then just the start of lent...but the celebration of our dear friend, Kara's father (Mike Flynn) who passed away a year ago that day. We spent the night surrounding her in laughter, love...and the knowledge that she has the most perfect angel with her! We had a great night eating some good food and hanging out with some great people.

On Friday evening, Kyle and I both celebrated the week attending happy hours with our co-workers. Along with our celebration of  a great week, we celebrated our good friend Paul's big purchase....a house! He is the Speech Pathologist where I work and buying a house has been quite the process for him! Luckily, he found a gem and we all can't wait to throw him a "Stock the Kitchen" party!

On Saturday, we cooked out with our good friends Landon, Mista and Danielle. Danielle is such an amazing cook and makes enough food for an army! After our cookout, we headed out to Denver University to meet Kara for the Notre Dame/ Denver Lacrosse game. Her cousin plays for the team, and I have to admit it was actually fun to watch! We all had so much fun! It was quite cold, as it was a night game, however we stayed warm with the many blankets we brought. Other then the fact that it was Notre Dame playing, it was a very exciting game and Kyle and I are looking forward to going again! Next time it will have to be a Purdue game:-)

Kyle and I are getting so excited as our good friends and family, The Borggrens will be here tomorrow! Then on St. Patrick's Day, The Campbell's and Delpy will be joining us. Words can't explain how much we have been looking forward to this. I'm sure it will lead to a good blog for next week:-)

Love,
Kyle & Sarrah

"This could be one of those memories, we're going to hold on to, cling to, the one we won't forget."

Kyle and I had a blast going back home for a quick visit to Indiana. It sure felt good to be home! We mainly went back for our Godson, Henry's baptism, but we snuck in quite a bit of time with family & friends also. We had such a great time and look forward to being able to spend more time this summer with everyone.

Since the trip home, we have been recovering. Kyle and I both have felt that we are constantly coming down with colds since moving to Colorado. As it turns out, the doctor told us this would be expected as our bodies are still adjusting to the dry climate. This past weekend I had a cold yet again. Luckily, I slept a bunch and had a pretty chill weekend. I now feel 100% better..let's just hope it stays that way!
On Saturday night we had a dinner date with our good friends, Mista, Kara and Landon. We are enjoying spending so much time with them. We feel so blessed to have such amazing friends here in Denver.  We truly don't know what we would have done without them all these months. We are all constantly getting together for cookouts, game nights and just some good hang out time.

This past weekend we also got together with my brother, sister-in-law and nephew. We always have such a good time together..I love our family dinners. Brandon and Allysia are always so laid back and fun to be around. Lately, we've played some pretty intense games of Monopoly:-) And Austyn is quite the entertainer, keeping us all laughing! We ended up cooking out together since the weather was pretty nice. The food was delicious and we had a great time!

We are starting to get excited about some upcoming visits soon:-) Our fellow Midwest Friends will be visiting us for St. Patrick's day! We can not wait to see them and are counting down the days. In the meantime, we are keeping ourselves plenty busy. We have a couple dinner dates and game nights with friends planned:-)
