"Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same. " ~Emily Brontë

This weekend was pretty busy for Kyle and I.... On Friday, I started my graduate classes. I don't really like to think about going to school...again, however, I know that in the long run it will be great to have my masters and be done with it! I am doing a weekend format class this semester. I will go to class for three weekends- Friday and Saturday only- and then I will be done! I just love the fact that I am 1/3 of the way done already;-) So on Friday night, I spent most of my night in class, but after it was over, Kyle took me out to dinner. Then on Saturday during the day, I went back to class and Kyle surprised me by cleaning the apartment. How lucky am I?!  On Saturday night,  Kyle spent some time over at Matt's house, while I went out for my good friend Lindsey's bachelorette party. We had such a great time! We met over at her sisters house for some fun games, great food and tasty wine. Then we hit the town! The night was eventful and full of laughs. I am sure that we will be talking about this night for a long time:-) We are all so excited for Lindsey as her wedding approaches. She is going to be such a beautiful bride! Kyle was a sweetheart and picked us all up at the end of the night:-)

On Sunday, Kyle and I wanted to spend some time together doing something, since most of our weekend was spent apart. We thought about going hiking but then decided that it wasn't the best idea because it was supposed to be 98 degrees:-). So instead we went to Golden and visited the Buffalo Bill museum and grave. We also drove up in the mountains and admired the awesome views. It was a fabulous, relaxing, and fun Sunday.  Afterwords, we went over to visit Matt, Julie and the girls. We had to end our weekend with a yummy cookout!

We hope you all had a great weekend:-) Love and Miss you-

"Be a best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you. Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense. Never let your praying knees get lazy, and love like crazy"

Kyle and I had a fabulous week last week! We kicked off our Monday night, with a little farewell gathering to one of our very best friends Adam! He is going to Kenya for a month. We are so excited for him and can't wait to hear his stories when he gets back home.  On Monday, we learned that Adam is quite the singer;-)

Then on Tuesday night, Kyle and I both went out with our friends.I went out with some great friends from my work, and Kyle his.  We had such a fabulous time! It was a great way for everyone to get to know each other and a highlight of our week.  The night was filled with good food, drinks, company and plenty of laughter. We can not wait to go out with everyone again!

This past weekend, Kyle and I went car shopping. We left in our old cars and came home with a new 2011 Subaru Outback. We absolutely love it. It's by far the smoothest ride ever. Plus to top it off, it gets great gas mileage! The color is Satin Pearl:-) We fell in love with it. However, Kyle did have a bit of a hard time letting go of his baby:-)

After we got our new ride, we went over to Matt and Julies for some dinner. We enjoyed some time with the girls and great food.  It was a very relaxing night. Just what we needed after 5 hours in a car dealership!

On Sunday, Kyle and I went for a hike! We went to Mount Sanitas! What a workout;-) We loved every minute of it. It was only a 4 mile hike, but with all the climbing and the steep slope we had to climb, you would have thought it was much more!

After the hike, we enjoyed some quality time with our brother, Brandon. We grilled some veggies and fish, watched a movie and called it a night. We were totally exhausted after our hike and slept very easy!

The most exciting news EVER came on Monday night when we found out if we had a new niece or nephew! I was so excited throughout the day and could not sit still. This was the first baby born with me being a part of the actual family. Congrats to Nate, Rachell, and Lucy......and  Welcome Baby Henry! Kyle and I could not be more excited to have another nephew. This makes 6 nephews now! We only wish that we could have been there with the family. It's hard missing moments like this.  It's times like these that the mountains, the atmosphere, jobs, etc...mean nothing to me. Family is our lives.

Love and miss you all,

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves."- John Muir

Kyle and I had a very eventful weekend! On Friday night we went to my co-worker/friend's house for some food, drinks and good company. We had a great time and met many new friends! Then on Saturday, we decided that we wanted to go hiking. We thought it would be a perfect day for Estes Park! Landon and Mista came with us too:-)  We decided to do a 4.5 mile hike. The elevation was over 10,000 ft!

The trail was absolutely beautiful with some fabulous views! But...HELLO ELEVATION! This was the first time that I had hiked at this elevation and it got the best of me. For awhile, I was very lightheaded and almost felt like I would get sick. But luckily, with moral support and lots of water I made it through! It did start to rain on our way down, which made the temp drop about ten degrees and of course we didn't come prepared for that.  We can only laugh now. It took us about half the time to get down as it did to get up because we ran down the mountain we were so cold! Once we got back down the mountain, the temp was back to normal again so we decided to go walk around Estes. They had a street of shops that we wanted to check out. There was a ton of old shops with jewelry, home decor, clothing, candy, ice cream,  souvenir shops, etc! Kyle and Landon found this cute little bench to enjoy some coffee!

We can't wait to go bike and do some of the other hikes and hopefully some camping too!

Today, Kyle went and helped Matt with some stuff around the house and I spent the afternoon cleaning and running some errands! After that, we decided to go to City Grill for dinner. On the way there, we noticed the sky was absolutely beautiful. It was purple, and blue, and black, and there was even a rainbow. (It had rained earlier). I took this picture of the Cathedral, I thought the sky looked so awesome!

Now, we are relaxing and watching some movies..... Oh and re-cooperating from the hike yesterday! I am quite sore...my legs sure got a workout! We hope you all had a fabulous weekend and have a great week:-)

"Hello again, everybody. It's a bee-yooo-tiful day for baseball."- Harry Caray

So much has happened in the past two weeks! Two weeks ago, I went  home to visit my family, and then last weekend, Kyle went on his family vacation. It was a great time for both of us, although we are both sad we didn't get to see each others family as much as we wanted! We can not wait to see them again in October.

On Monday I started my first day of work! As many of you know, I am an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. I can't even begin to describe the feelings I was having.  I had a great first day and week .I am so excited for the year ahead.

Kyle came home Monday night from his family vacation. I was so bummed that I couldn't go this year, but I am happy to hear that everyone had a great time and that Kyle got to see all the family. Here is a pic of Kyle and Sylvie the day after he got back. Sylvie has on the "Oglebay" shirt from this year. She was so excited to put it on and jumped to hug Kyle as soon as she saw him!

On Wednesday Kyle and I decided to go out on a nice date:-).  We went to Rioja (Compliments of Cindy, Bruce, MacKenzie, Andy, Morgan and Jeremy)! It is supposed to be Denver's best restaurant and it didn't fail us! The food was delicious, service was great, and we had a fabulous time.

On Friday, Kyle and I went to Matt and Julies house to have dinner. After dinner we called it a night. I am still adjusting to waking up so early and going to bed on time. On Saturday the Chicago Cubs came to town. We have been so excited for this event all summer. Granted we lost, there's always next year right?  We met up with a group of friends and had a fun night. We were amazed at how many Cubs fans were at the game:-)

On Sunday, Kyle and I spent a relaxing morning at the Farmer's Market and then headed downtown to walk around.  Afterwords, we rented some movies and decided to have a relaxing night at home. We had a great weekend with our friends and missed many friends who we know would have had so much fun with us at the Cubs game this weekend. Now, it's time to prepare for the week, relax, and get some much needed rest!

We hope you all have a fabulous week:-)
